Allison Alexander, LPN, IBCLC

International Board Certified Lactation Consultant

Allison Alexander (she/her) is a nurse, Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant, wife, and mother of two living and working on stolen land in Michigan, USA. After struggling to breastfeed her first child, she felt the depression and isolation that comes with needing help but not knowing where to turn. While providing care and education in a pediatric office setting, she also saw the struggles of parents who came in having difficulty feeding their babies and the lack of compassionate, evidence-based support they received.

Some found ways to make it work, but many more gave up on their goals. Convinced there had to be a better way, Allison began her journey to become an IBCLC to make sure that every family had the support they needed to be successful, the support she wished she’d had as a new parent. She has been working with families for 9 years and has helped countless parents feel confident and successful. She went on to breastfeed her second child into toddlerhood. She specializes in oral motor function, milk supply concerns, and slow weight gain.

Kaitlyn Sagritalo, BA, IBCLC

International Board Certified Lactation Consultant

Kaitlyn Sagritalo has worked in healthcare for a total of over 10 years and is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant with over 3 years of experience in lactation. She specializes in oral function and also has a passion for babywearing.

Kaitlyn became a first-time mom in 2018. In her breastfeeding journey with her son, they dealt with severe skin infections, rare food allergies, and difficulty finding providers that knew how to help. Thanks to her prenatal education and amazing support from a local LC, she was able to successfully breastfeed into toddlerhood (3+ years strong!). She knew her story of adequate education and support were unfortunately rare, so she decided to start her journey towards becoming an IBCLC.

Kendria Miller, LPN, CLC

Certified Lactation Counselor

Kendria Miller (she/her) is a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC), and full-spectrum doula, who will join our practice after obtaining her IBCLC credential in July. Along with being the owner of New Moon Doula & Lactation Services, LLC, she is an active member of the Southeast Michigan IBCLCs of Color (SEMI) and holds a position as a hospital-based lactation consultant in the Metro Detroit area.

Kendria’s calling to birth work was revealed very early in her life; and in 2021, she decided to build a business around the perinatal support, education, and resources that she had informally provided her community for years. She is a Lansing, MI native, wife, and mother of four children who were all breastfed. Kendria is currently pursuing her Associate’s degree in nursing at Schoolcraft College, with the goal of advancing her skills around her passions for lactation education, postpartum support, and perinatal mental health.
